Phoenix Insurance PLC Holds 40th AGM Virtually

DHAKA, July 29, 2026 - Phoenix Insurance PLC successfully held its 40th today Annual General Meeting (AGM) , Wednesday, at 3:00 p.m., conducted virtually through a digital platform in compliance with regulatory guidelines. The meeting was presided over by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Mohammed Shoeb . Also present were Vice Chairman Mr. Manzoorul Haque , members of the Board of Directors including Ms. Sadia Anjum Siddiqui, Mr. Haider Ali, Ms. Sadaf Shamsad Haque, Ms. Fabiana Aziz, Mr. M.A. Majid, Mr. Javed Hosein, and Mr. Iftikharul Islam , along with Chief Executive Officer Mr. Md. Rafiqur Rahman , Company Secretary, and CFO, and a large number of shareholders joining online from across the country. At the meeting, shareholders reviewed and adopted the Audited Financial Statements of the company for the year ended December 31, 2025, together with the accompanying Directors' Report and Auditors' Report. Shareholders also approved the declaration of a 12% cash dividend for the year 2025, reflecting the company's continued financial stability and commitment to shareholder value. During the year 2025 the Company earned a total premium of Tk.79.31 Crore and pre-tax profit of Tk.9.53 Crore. Total asset of the Company in the year 2025 was Tk.233.28 Crore. The Shareholders of the Company expressed their deep satisfaction over the performance and steady growth of the Company in the face of extremely adverse situation. In addition to the financial matters, the AGM saw the election and re-election of members to the Board of Directors, and the appointment/re-appointment of the company's Statutory and Compliance Auditors for the year 2026. The Chairman, in his address, thanked the shareholders for their continued trust and confidence in Phoenix Insurance PLC, and reaffirmed the Board's commitment to strengthening corporate governance, sustaining business growth, and delivering long-term value to all stakeholders.
